Dear members,
Enniskerry Football Club are excited to let you know that the planning application for the upgrade of the Bog Meadow facilities has been submitted to Wicklow County Council. We would like to request your support for an online petition in support of this development.
The village has a proud tradition of sport and community spirit, but our current facilities are no longer fit for purpose. Families and players must travel outside Enniskerry for training and matches, which creates unnecessary traffic, costs, and time pressures. The new development would allow more of our children, young people, and adults to play and train locally in safe, modern facilities.
The Club has already submitted a letter of support in response to the planning application. The council has expressed a preference to avoid a significant number of individual submissions of support of the application. Also, as each submission carries a €20 charge, what the club has decided to do is to gather names via an online petition and then submit this broad expression of support from the community to Wicklow County Council.
We would ask for your support in filling in the online petition by clicking on the link provided, it will only take a minute and just requires entering your name, town/area and confirming you are over 18. If you are a parent of one or more of our younger players we do encourage you to discuss the petition with your child so they can feel represented in this process.
